One of my favourite Dutch artists, who died far too young at the age of 60, is Leon Adriaans. Painter and farmer, or painter and farmer?
What does it matter....Leon was a very sensitive and pure man who loved his horses as much as he loved his art: "I paint in order not to become crazy".

In 2008 Piet Verhoeff made this moving documentary film "Eigen Weg" about this extraordinary man.
