Christiaan Kuitwaard is not only a painter, but also a musician. For the music festival Explore the North the artist composed a piece of music consisiting of melodies, abstract sounds, bird sounds and rythms based on percussion. This soundscape is partly the result of a written composition and partly improvised and reflects the landscape of the Northern part of The Netherlands called Friesland as seen through the eyes of the artist.
